I was first introduced to the process of paper marbling or (Ebru) or (Suspension); in art class in high-school. For the size (the medium on which you suspend your paints) we used liquid starch, and the float medium was oil-paint. I was immediately hooked; The infinite possibilities; of colors, depth, weight, design, method, mediums, …etc. Later in collage I enrolled in an art course for Ebru; and once again found myself enamored by it’s simplistic chaos.
In short I am revisiting this allusive method of applying paint to paper which is always a rewarding outcome. If this topic is of interest to you get involved in the discussion. I will be teaching a class in February if interested contact me.
